There are a variety of suppliers for the amateur rocketry experimenter. This list below is some of the suppliers known to CP Technologies, but is not an all inclusive list. A Google search will not doubt pick up other suppliers. Also, don't forget to check Ebay for chemicals, graphite, phenolic, rubber and other items.

Aerocon Aerospace - Sells R45 HTPB binder. PAPI curing agent, DOA plasticizer, graphite, nichrome wire, reload motor cases and other motor making supplies.

Note: The PAPI curing agent has an equivalent weight of 131.5. The PAPI curing agent ratio for R45HT is 0.09. For R20LM, the PAPI curing agent ratio would be 0.19. For R45M, the PAPI curing agent ratio would be 0.08.

Rolling Thunder Pyrotechnic Supplies - Sells ammonium nitrate, ammonium perchlorate, potassium nitrate, metal powders and other supplies used in making propellants and igniters. To make ammonium nitrate composite propellant you will need magnesium powder or a magnesium/aluminum alloy powder. If you use the alloy powder make sure it contains at least 50% magnesium. When you buy the powder, make sure you get -325 mesh powder. For ammonium perchlorate motors, use a -325 mesh aluminum powder or 20 micron spherical.

Note: The higher the mesh number, the finer the magnesium particle size.

Note: E-744 has an equivalent weight of 179. The E-744 curing agent ratio for R45HT is 0.12. For R45M, the curing agent ratio is 0.10. For R20LM, the curing agent ratio is 0.26.
