Wickman Spacecraft & Propulsion Company was presented with the Manufacturing Entrepreneur of the Year Award for 2001 by MAMTC - Wyoming in partnership with the Wyoming Business Council and the University of Wyoming. The award was presented to company president, John Wickman, by U.S. Senator Mike Enzi from Wyoming.

The award was presented at the Wyoming Annual Manufacturing Awards celebration held in Greybull, Wyoming at the Hawkins & Powers Aviation facility. A reception was held at 4 p.m. followed by the awards ceremony at 5 p.m. The entire event was capped off with a Wyoming BBQ dinner.
